Hanuman Edinburgh – Terms and Conditions and Waiver
By using Hanuman Edinburgh facilities or participating in activities, you
acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the
following terms and conditions and waiver of liability.
Acknowledgment of Risks: I understand that participation in physical
activities at Hanuman Edinburgh involves inherent risks of injury, including but
not limited to falls, collisions with other participants, collisions with equipment,
strains, sprains, broken bones, concussions, and other injuries, including
serious injury or death. I understand that these risks may arise from my own
actions, the actions of others, or from the condition of the premises or
equipment. I voluntarily assume all such risks. I acknowledge that these risks
are inherent in the activities and are not caused by the negligence of
Hanuman Edinburgh, its employees, agents, or instructors.
Assumption of Risk: I fully understand and voluntarily assume all inherent
risks associated with my participation in activities at Hanuman Edinburgh,
including those risks not explicitly listed above.
Medical Condition: I confirm that I am currently in good health and capable
of engaging in physical activity. I further confirm that I have no medical,
physical, or mental condition that would prohibit or endanger my participation
in the chosen activities. I will immediately inform a Hanuman Edinburgh staff
member of any health change before participating in any activity.
Medical Release: In the event of an emergency requiring medical treatment, I
hereby authorise Hanuman Edinburgh personnel to obtain any necessary
medical care and treatment for me.
Indemnification: I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hanuman
Edinburgh, its employees, agents, instructors, owners, and affiliates from
against all claims, actions, liability, damages, costs, and expenses (including
attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to my participation in activities, except
to the extent caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Severability: If any provision of this waiver is held to be invalid or
unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Governing Law: This waiver shall be governed by and construed in
accordance with the laws of Scotland.
Entire Agreement: This waiver constitutes the entire agreement between the
parties concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or
contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
Personal Property: I understand that I leave any personal property, including
vehicles parked on the premises, at my own risk and that Hanuman Edinburgh
is not responsible for any loss or damage.

1. Membership
1.1 To become a member of Hanuman Edinburgh, individuals must complete
the registration process and provide accurate personal information.
1.2 Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
1.3 Memberships can be suspended or terminated at the discretion of
Hanuman Edinburgh for the violation of gym policies or inappropriate
behaviour.
2. Facility Usage
2.1 Members must adhere to gym rules and guidelines for the proper use of
equipment and facilities.
2.2 Hanuman Edinburgh reserves the right to temporarily close or restrict
access to certain areas for maintenance or other reasons.
2.3 Members are responsible for their personal belongings; Hanuman
Edinburgh is not liable for any lost or stolen items.
3. Code of Conduct
3.1 Respect for fellow members, staff, and the facility is mandatory. Any form
of harassment or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination
of membership.
3.2 Use of illegal substances or alcohol on the premises is strictly prohibited.
4. Membership Fees
4.1 Members are required to pay membership fees on time to maintain active
status.
4.2 Late payments may result in the suspension of gym access until fees are
paid in full. Hanuman Edinburgh reserves the right to charge a £5 late
payment fee for any payments not received by the scheduled due date.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
5.1 Members can cancel their membership with five (5) days' written notice.
No refunds will be provided for partial months. Members may rejoin at any
time; however, the joining fee will be applicable unless the cancellation was
due to injury (supporting medical documentation will be required). Cancellation
must be submitted in writing to Hanuman Edinburgh at least five (5) days
before the next payment is due.
5.2 Membership freezes are not offered.
6. Health and Safety
6.1 Member Health and Fitness: Members are responsible for ensuring they
are in good health and physically capable of engaging in exercise. It is the
member's responsibility to disclose any medical conditions or injuries to an
instructor prior to participating in any class. If there is any doubt regarding
your physical readiness, you are advised to consult a medical professional to
obtain clearance before training.
6.2 Members must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by
Hanuman Edinburgh staff.
6.3 Sparring sessions are supervised, and participants must follow proper
etiquette.
6.4 Photography and Videography: Hanuman Edinburgh may use photos or
videos taken during training for promotional purposes unless members
explicitly opt-out.
6.5 Hygiene and Attire: Members are expected to maintain a high standard of
personal hygiene and wear appropriate training attire, including clean workout
gear.
6.6 Equipment Usage: Proper usage and care of training equipment are
essential. Respect the gym’s equipment guidelines, report any issues
promptly, and ensure that personal gear is in good condition. Hanuman
Edinburgh reserves the right to refuse entry to a training session without the
required equipment or attire.
6.7 Class Management: We retain the option to cancel a class in the event of
an insufficient number of bookings.
6.8 Subscription and Automated Renewal: By enrolling in a membership,
you agree to a monthly recurring subscription. Your membership will
automatically renew on the same date each month until a formal written
cancellation request is received by Hanuman Edinburgh at least five (5) days
prior to the next payment date. Please note that no refunds will be issued if
notice is not provided within this timeframe, regardless of facility usage or
attendance.
6.9 Members must inform Hanuman Edinburgh in writing at least five (5) days
in advance of any changes to their payment method.
7. Liability
7.1 Hanuman Edinburgh is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health
issues that may occur on the premises.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
8.1 Hanuman Edinburgh reserves the right to modify these terms and
conditions. By becoming a member or using the Drop-in option, individuals agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply may result in the termination of membership without a refund.
