Team Hanuman had five lads boxing in a show in East Kilbride on Saturday 7th.
First up was Jordan Macintosh who fought very well over five rounds in his first Muay Thai fight. Jordan pushed so hard in the first few rounds tiring over the last unfortunately losing on points.
Next up was Adam Kocubowski who fought superbly against a more experienced opponent. He stood strong in the first few staying relaxed taking his opponents boxing on the gloves and coming back with low and body kicks in pure Muay Thai style. He pushed through coming forward in the later rounds like a true Nak Muay finishing his man with straight punching, kicks and knees. Adam showed great improvement and composure since his last bout where he took silver in the Scottish amateur championships.
Mariusz Grzegoryczyk fought third in c class devision at 93kgs. This was a great fight, boxing and kicks from the onset. Mariusz had his opponent rocked and in trouble in the second but was beaten by the bell. This guy came back very well with low kickseventually stopping the giant in the forth.
Richard Farnworth up immediately after with a very tough fight. His opponent working well inside with Richard coming back with super sharp boxing and good kicks. Unfortunately Richard sustained injury and wasn’t able to come out to the last round. This was Richards first bout and has massive potential in the ring, he’s come on so far from first walking through our doors!
Maceik Tokarz was our final competition, they saved the best until last! He was boxing with the home lad and the atmosphere was electric. It was full pace from the on set with both boys head to head for the whole fight. His opponent was using a lot of boxing but Maceik was matching the work rate with low and body kicks. The fight went the distance however the decision went in favour of home team. Maceik fought with real strength and true spirt.
