Hanuman Thai Boxing Edinburgh went to Ayr for Kay Corner’s first fight and Mariusz Grzegorczyk 5th.
Kay fought Sophie Kerr, both fighting in the ring for first time. Kay put the pressure on from the beginning , scoring with body kicks. She became more inventive each round with strong clinch and boxing, tiring a little in the 3rd round but stronger again for the 4th and 5th. She finished the fight strong. It was great firstt fight for Kay to be very proud of, with members of the Hanuman team cheering as the referee announced her victory.
After 3 wins and 1 lost Mariusz confidently stepped into the ring again. This time fighting local oponnent from Wassobama gym. Surprisingly Gary Howarth started at a fast pace with boxing, at the very end of fisrt round he managed to hit Mariusz with one of his dangerous punches and fractured his chick bone as things turned out later. Mariusz was still trying to come back strong at the start of second round , but finally fight was stopped by doctor due to Mariusz injury.
