Hanuman Thai Boxing brought 3 fighters to compete at this year’s stand2fight . The 25th of August turned out to be a lucky day for us with 3 good victories.
At 67 kg Gordon Murray finished his fight very quickly. Gordon dropped his opponent with a vicious body kick in the first round and his opponent wasn’t able to continue. Two of our other fighters were much heavier. At 86kg Ally MacPherson showed beautiful clinch skills and swept his opponent several times just before landing a big right punch. After the knock down Ally came back with the same technique -a big right punch and a knock out this time in Round 3. The heaviest of our fighters Alex Kay at 93kg had a beautiful 5 rounds bout which we think was great experience for him. Most importantly our young heavyweight managed to get a decision and win the fight away which is always a difficult thing to do. Great first experience in the ring for all of them and well done!
