The 19th and 20th of October turned out to be a busy weekend for Hanuman Thai Boxing Edinburgh. We had a few things going on at the same time. The first worth mentioning was Mariusz Grzegorczyk fighting again after winning in the Amateur Scottish Championship. This time it was a Pro Rules fight in England of a total of 5 rounds at 1.5 minutes each. Mariusz won by decision and he showed a nice technical style of fighting based on body kicks.
At the same time Rhodri Williams fought at Thai Battle in Wroclaw, Poland. This was a great show at the city stadium which hosted the Euro 2012 football championship not so long ago. Rhod stepped in to the ring and straight away went to the clinch doing very well with knees and elbows. We were quite surprised at the end of the bout when his opponent got a win by a split decision. The same weekend a few of our lads took part in an exhibition here in Edinburgh. Alex and Niko Font , Maciek Tokarz, Ally MacPherson and Giuseppe Laurici showed a nice few rounds of sparring and pad work at the Leith Town Halls
